1brakes 262x300 How to install Paul Moto BrakesToday we are going to go over how to install Paul Moto Brakes

  1. Take everything out of the packages
  2. Undo the Tie wrap that holds the springs together.
  3. Put a little bit of grease on the brake bosses
  4. Install the Brake onto the brakes bosses. There is a right and left. The side with the adjusting bolt is the right side.
  5. Snug the brake mount bolts down to keep the brakes from coming off the bike. With a 5mm allen wrench
  6. Take the brake pads and install them onto the brake arms,  the long part of the brake pad goes up. The spacers on the brake pads can be switched around to make sure there is right distance between the arms and tires.
  7. Set pad clamps parallel to rim at rim height first. Then set pads flush with rim, using the cone washers on pad assemblies. If pads are interfering with frame, clamps can be turned over so that the pads are on the other side of the brake arm, moving them away from the frame or fork.
  8. Using a 15mm wrench adjust the spring tensions about 45mm from the seat stay of the bike.
  9. Install the new cable through the brake noodle through the brake cable bolt. Pull the cable through and snug and tighten the bolt down with a 4mm allen.
  10. Now squeeze the brakes and check to make sure the brake pads are hitting flat and even. If they are not adjust the spring adjustment holder untill the pads hit even!
